Sunset over Tanzania

We are four months into 2026, and it feels like a good moment to share what we are working toward for the rest of the year. Not in vague terms, but in specific goals that we can report back on when the year ends. Transparency matters, and that includes being clear about what we are trying to accomplish, not just what we have already done.

The pace of progress is dependent on our fundraising and 2026 is a year of expansion and increased focus.

Expanding Teachers & Infrastructure

We currently work with two partner schools, Tloma Primary and Kilimani Primary, based in the rural area of Karatu in Tanzania, with vastly different infrastructure, number of children, teachers and support based on their histories. Adding infrastructure at Kilimani, including rainwater catchment and tanks as well as an enclosed kitchen, as well as upgrading the classrooms, water catchment tanks and expanded garden capabilities at Tloma.

There is a huge need for more teachers as some grades have 70 or more children to each teacher. Improving the teacher to child ratio dramatically improves the quality of learning as well as outcomes such as secondary school success. They need specialized teachers who can help children with both physical and cognitive disabilities as well as help the community with training around Early Childhood Development.

Growing the Donor Base

We are a young organization. Most of our donors right now are people who know us personally or who found us through a direct referral. We want to change that in 2026 by reaching people who do not already know our name but who care about education and economic development. People who can help these children and their communities grow and be more self-reliant by building practical skills. That means being more active online, sharing more of what we are actually doing on the ground, and making it as straightforward as possible for someone new to find us and give. If you believe in this work and know someone else who might, one of the most useful things you can do is share this website or tell a friend about us.

Improving Transparency and Reporting

We want to publish a simple annual impact report this year that shows clearly where donations went, what outcomes we can point to, and what we are still working on. A transparent account of a year's work, with strong governance and updates that our partners, donors and communities can be proud of.

Deepening Local Partnerships

Our most important partners are not donors or foundations in the United States and further afield. They are community leaders, teachers, and parents in Tanzania. We want to deepen those relationships in 2026 by spending more time on the ground, listening more, and working on longer-term planning with the communities we serve. Sustainable change is not something we can deliver from Ft. Lauderdale. It has to grow from within communities, with us in a supporting role.

If you want to be part of what we are building, we would love to have you with us. Give what you can, share what we are doing, or reach out if you want to talk. We read every message.

Together, Tomorrow Rises.

Jenny
